Poetry Walks

Poetry Walks
April 1 – May 31, 2024

The North Olympic Library System is partnering with Olympic National Park to offer the 10th season of Poetry Walks. Enjoy self-guided walks on trails featuring poetry in the landscape.

Poems are placed on signs in multiple locations along three trails in Olympic National Park:

  • Hall of Mosses Trail
  • Madison Falls Trail
  • Spruce Railroad Trail

The Hall of Mosses Trail requires visitors to pass through the Hoh Rain Forest entrance station to show or purchase a National Park Pass.

Poetry Walks happen in April to celebrate National Poetry Month. Additionally, National Park Week will take place April 20-28. National Park Week is celebrated at all national park areas across the country and features free admission to all national park units on Saturday, April 20.

Interested in exploring Olympic National Park for free? Place a hold on an Explore Olympic Daypack! Includes a park pass, binoculars and more, thanks to generous support by Discover Your Northwest.

NOLS Poetry Walks are offered to the public with the generous support of the Port Angeles Friends of the Library.

The Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Elevate PA, and other related entities provide this calendar as a public service, and shall not be held liable for content, dates, or information contained within. We do our best to moderate events, but please contact the organizer if you have any questions or concerns.
