Classical Guitar Ensemble 1
This course is an introduction to the styles and techniques of the classical guitar. Students will learn how to read music, play scales and arpeggios, and perform music in an ensemble setting. We will also explore the history and repertoire of the instrument to give students a solid foundation for exploring the broader world of the classical guitar. This class is suitable for students with no experience with guitar and students with some introductory knowledge of guitar.
Required: Students must provide their own guitar and music stand for home practice (wire music stands can be purchased for under $15). Music stands will be available for use during class.
